Leadership Lessons from Gideon pt. 2

Then the LORD turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!”

Judges 6:14 (NLT)

When we first came upon Gideon we learned that, “If you complain about it, maybe God is calling you to do something about it.”  Now if God is calling you to do something about it, don’t you think that He knows that you will be able to do something about it?  

God told Gideon to “go in the strength that you have.”  At some point in time God will call us to do something about difficult or impossible situations (humanly speaking) I believe that He calls because He knows who we are.  He is the one who created us.  He is the one who has given us certain abilities, gifts, and experiences that are necessary for the challenge that is before us.  God knows us better than we know ourselves.  He is the one who has given us our strength.  He is the one who has led us through different circumstance in life that have molded and shaped us.  Our strength is His strength at work in us and He is calling you to go in the strength that you all ready have.
