Favorites Friday: My favorite pair jeans

dsc032761Welcome to another addition of Favorites Friday.  This week I would like to introduce you to an old friend.  I am not sure how old these jeans are but as you can see they have been with me for a long time.  I have come to the point of not really being able to wear these out in public.  Although some times on Monday’s (my day off) I will wear them to run to the post office or if I need to run up to my in-laws.  My wife would actually prefer that these jeans never leave the apartment, but I just can’t give them up.  Here’s why they earned a spot on Favorites Friday:

  1. They are old: The stiffness is gone and they are like a pair of sweat pants with out any social stigmas
  2. They have holes: This is leading to my inability to wear these in public, but they are holes that I earned and not paid $100 for.
  3. They are my favorite fit: Through years of buying jeans and trying all of the different fits I have come to find that bootfit are the best for me.
  4. They are truly traveling pants: First of all it’s not like that movie the sisterhood of the traveling pants.  To my knowledge no one else has worn these jeans because that goes against the hygienic code of ethics that I follow, but they have traveled to other nations with me.

Welcome to another episode of Favorites Friday.  In this post I would like to introduce you to one of my favorite snacks of all time.  As you’ve read above Nutella is a creamy, hazel-nutty chocolate spread.  Nutella can be enjoyed in so many different ways.  Whether it’s by the spoonful or on a whole grain bread Nutella always hits the spot.  Here are some of the ways that I have experienced Nutella:

  1. By the spoonful: This can be dangerous because things can quickly get out of control.  Major accountability may be required.
  2. In a crepe: Great breakfast or dessert.  It’s up to you, but if you have it for breakfast there’s more of chance to burn the calories throughout the day so any guilt you may experience is almost completely eliminated.  The best place to get this dessert is from Ancora.
  3. 7 grain bread: Serves as a wonderful afternoon snack.
  4. On a toasted English Muffin: This would possibly by my favorite way to enjoy the Nutella.  The only downside is waiting for the English Muffins to toast.
  5. From the glass jar: I’m still working on this one, but my friend Sandra swears that the Nutella from the glass jar is so much better than the Nutella from the plastic jar.  I’ve had Nutella from both and the experience is still great.

In closing if you have never experienced Nutella I encourage you to do so.  It will soon become your favorite.

Favorites Friday

Well, it is the 2nd edition of Favorites Friday and I would like to share a great passion of mine.  It’s coffee, but not just any coffee it’s French Press coffee made in a Bodum Crema Press.  And it’s not just any coffee in the French Press, but Starbuck’s Ethiopia Sidamo.  After much experimentation, Rachel and I have found this to be our Favorite cup of coffee because of the bold flavor of the Ethiopia Sidamo and the full flavor that brewing in a press will give you.

If you would like to know how to properly prepare a pot of French Press check out Stumptown Coffee Roasters.

Favorites Friday

With my blog still being fairly new I would like to start a tradition.  On Fridays I am going to blog about things that are favorites of mine and I thought the first place to start would be with my wife.  This is a picture of me and my lovely wife Rachel at her uncles house (I think for Thanksgiving).

On May 25th we will be celebrating our second anniversary.  It has gone by so fast and it has been great.  Rachel is such a strength and support to my life.  It amazes me sometimes how much she loves me and believes in me.  I can’t imagine life without her, it just wouldn’t be the same.  So, Babe, the first Favorites Friday is all yours.
